One Emmerdale couple could be headed for divorce just months after tying the knot
Emmerdale viewers rushed to share their thoughts on social media after noticing major clues which suggested that one beloved couple could be headed for divorce. This comes after Tuesday’s (October 7) episode, which saw Vinny Dingle (played by Bradley Johnson) and Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) attempt to work through the “awkwardness” as they move forward with their relationship, just days after Gabby revealed that she’d cheated on her husband while in Portugal. However, having said their “I Do’s” just last month, she is also unaware that Vinny is experiencing doubts about his sexuality.
Fans are certain that the couple will be headed for divorce after noticing Lewis Barton’s (Bradley Riches) newfound interest in Vinny’s well-being. Lewis overheard the couple’s forced conversation while cleaning at the cafe, and after Gabby left for work, he approached Vinny and said: “I’d like to offer myself as a safe space if you ever wanted to chat.” After the pair eventually met up for a heart-to-heart later in the episode, viewers aired their speculation on X/Twitter. One stated: “Gabby and Vinny may as well call it a day already!! Never going to work,” As a second questioned: “Is Lewis the answer to Vinny’s questions?”

Another echoed: “So does Vinny want an experimental s**g with a chap to help him decide.”
Noticing a potential spark, a fourth suggested: “I think Vinny’s got a willing volunteer,” meanwhile another blasted: “Lewis can’t wait to turn Vinny, leave him alone he has a wife.”
“Vinny and Lewis are quite a good match; they’re both equally as irritating,” remarked a fan. As another viewer added: “Lewis like a vulture ready to pounce, he’s as bad as Vanessa.”
As Vinny and Lewis ended their conversation, Gabby walked into the cafe to see them sharing a reassuring hug, which seemed to suggest that she could have concerns about their newfound bond.
Riches previously opened up about the pair’s friendship and teased: “[It’s] having someone from the queer community helping him and saying ‘it’s not weird to think these things, everyone’s stories are different regarding their sexuality and they have different journeys.’

“It’s very exciting to see that conversation, and how a new friendship might blossom as well. It’s nice to see someone who’s not sure about themselves being welcomed by someone who is very sure of themselves.”
However, when asked by Digital Spy if they’re bond could lead to a more intimate connection, the actor stated: “Who knows? Only time will tell. I think at the beginning it’s definitely a friendship.
“I mean, every good relationship is based on friendship and that’s a good starting point, definitely!”
Whereas Johnson, who stars as Vinny, told the publication: “Vinny’s quite vulnerable. Lewis is a shoulder to cry on for Vinny and he’s been a great support,” he noted. “So those two characters together, I think work really well.
“They’re just both geeky, loveable characters. It’s two unique people helping each other and supporting each other. It’s brilliant.”
