Emmerdale fans are convinced that Celia Daniels will face her downfall in upcoming scenes

Emmerdale fans believe they’ve exposed Celia Daniels’ death in a brutal family murder plot.

ITV soap fans will be aware that April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) has been reluctantly peddling drugs for Celia (Jaye Griffiths) and her son Ray Walters (Joe Absolom), in an effort to settle her boyfriend Dylan Penders’ (Fred Kettle) debt.

That’s not all, as the wicked duo have also been operating an unlawful slave ring on their farm, with Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) being held prisoner.

April recently revealed her predicament to her parents, Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), which led to Ray retaliating by running Dylan over with his car. The youngster has only just regained consciousness at Hotten General, reports the Daily Star.

Meanwhile, Ray has recently kindled a romance with Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), who remains oblivious to his malevolent nature.

In Wednesday’s episode (November 17), now available on ITVX, Celia joined Ray and Laurel for dinner, causing worlds to collide.

However, it quickly became evident that Celia was using the dinner as a power move, with Ray begging her to be kind to Laurel. After witnessing Ray and Laurel’s budding relationship, Celia grew concerned that her son was becoming too emotionally involved.

She therefore decided to sabotage the relationship by portraying her son as a manipulative, emotionally distant playboy. A distressed Laurel then asked Ray to leave as she pondered whether to continue their relationship or not.

Ray subsequently confronted Celia after being rebuffed by Laurel, with Celia swiftly putting her son firmly in his place.

After slapping Ray across the face, Celia cautioned: “You think she’ll make your life easier? She won’t, because you need someone to keep you real, someone who will stop you drifting off into these fantasies of yours.

“She doesn’t know you. She doesn’t want you the way you think she does, because you are weak, Ray. You are so weak, you need someone to tell you when to speak, how to feel, how to exist.

“Aren’t you lucky that I am still here doing exactly that? Cry if you want to my boy, but wipe your face before anyone sees you. They already pity you. Let’s not confirm why.”

Celia then departed, moments before an emotional Ray punched a nearby wall. Following the dramatic scenes, numerous Emmerdale viewers reckon this could be the breaking point for Ray, with many speculating that he may finally rebel against his wicked mother in forthcoming episodes.

“Ray is defo turning on Celia after that outburst,” one viewer posted on a Facebook fan page.

Another commented: “Yeah Celia is going down. Ray surely can’t let her slap him and just get away with it,” whilst a third remarked: “I truly think Ray wants to change his ways and actually cares about Laurel. He has to turn on Celia soon.”

A fourth fan shared the view, suggesting: “What if Ray kills Celia over Christmas? That would be sooo good!”
