Emmerdale fans are convinced that April Windsor could be set for a heartbreaking exit from the village after spotting a ‘clue’ on social media about the character’s future.
Emmerdale viewers are on tenterhooks as they worry that April Windsor might be heading for a shocking departure from the village.
April, portrayed by Amelia Flanagan, has been embroiled in a series of dramatic events in the Dales recently. She is currently caught up in the perilous world of drug dealing, alongside Dylan Penders, played by Fred Kettle.
Initially, it was only Dylan who was working for the menacing dealer Ray, enacted by Joe Absolom. However, before long, April was drawn into the shady business and began taking on tasks for Ray after he decided she could be of use.
Despite their desire to escape the criminal activities, April and Dylan find themselves ensnared and continue to work for Ray to settle their ‘debt’. In truth, there is no debt; the crafty and malevolent Ray has been deceiving the youngsters.
In a startling revelation last week, it was disclosed that not only was Celia Daniels, played by Jaye Griffiths, running the drugs operation, but she was also Ray’s adoptive mother. She slapped April and issued a stern warning about the consequences if she ever crossed her, reports the Daily Star.
Spoilers for the upcoming week have confirmed that things are about to take a sinister turn when Ray and Celia compel April to undertake a new job.
After being taken to a hotel, April finds herself in a room with his ‘valuable client’ named Tim. It soon becomes evident that the older man harbours disturbing intentions towards the young girl.
However, with all the current turmoil unfolding in the Dales, viewers believe an departure could be on the cards for April – who first appeared in 2014 – after supporters noticed a telling ‘sign’.
Recently, actress Amelia Flanagan shared images of her professional headshot on social media.
Nevertheless, her admirers were swift to read this as an indication that the star might be considering fresh opportunities beyond the ITV drama, given that performers usually refresh their headshots when seeking new acting work.
“Does this mean you’re leaving Emmerdale?” questioned one individual. Another person commented: “Please don’t be leaving.” A third concerned fan weighed in and stated: “I thought that.”
Furthermore, soap fans have also ‘figured out’ April’s devastating departure plot in what would be a tragic prison storyline.
