A split-second moment on Corrie has sent ITV viewers into meltdown as theories explode over the upcoming Corriedale crossover.
ITV viewers reckon Coronation Street has just dropped a major clue that the long-awaited Corriedale crossover is officially in motion — and it’s all thanks to a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment inside Weatherfield police station. The soaps are gearing up for their huge January “power hour” event, which will bring together characters from both Emmerdale and Corrie in a storyline bosses have teased will have “everlasting consequences”. And now eagle-eyed fans believe the first real hint has finally been planted.
During Wednesday night’s Corrie (November 26), officer Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) was seen sipping tea inside the station — but it wasn’t Kit that set viewers off. Behind him, pinned to the noticeboard, sat a ‘wanted’ poster for Emmerdale villain John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth), staring straight into shot. The camera lingered just long enough for it to feel like a message, and fans now think that the missing villain is destined to resurface. Eagle-eyed fans took to X to share their theory.

“So they’re already hinting at the Corriedale crossover. So it’ll involve John Sugden,” said one fan. Another agreed, penning: “The Wanted John Sugden poster from #Emmerdale in the background of Kit’s scene. First nod to the crossover.”
While a third added: “Another John Sugden wanted poster spotted in Weatherfield.”
John’s storyline in Emmerdale left a trail of carnage before his sudden disappearance. Introduced last year as Jack Sugden’s (Clive Hornby) secret son, he initially bonded with Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) but soon revealed an unnerving hero complex, harming people so he could swoop in to “save” them.
Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) died after reacting to the medication John had administered. Aidan Moore (Liam Fox) was left in a coma, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) was drugged, and Ella Forster (Paula Lane) was blamed. Mack
Boyd (Lawrence Robb) was attacked with a shovel, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) was poisoned with alcohol, and John caused the slurry tank leak at Butlers.
When his crimes finally unravelled, John kidnapped Mack and held him in a bunker, drugged Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller), dragged him over a cliff and framed Robert.
After blackmailing Caleb Miligan (Will Ash), he fled abroad in a low-key exit many viewers slammed as “anti-climactic.”
But Corrie fans weren’t the only ones spotting clues this week.
